The International Health Literacy Association (IHLA) continues to promote equitable health communication through its Plain Language Equity Interest Group. The group provides a platform for researchers, practitioners, educators, and advocates to share experiences, best practices, and innovative approaches to making health information clearer and more accessible.
By advancing plain language principles, the group aims to reduce communication barriers and support health equity across diverse populations and settings. Its purpose is to raise awareness and build a knowledge base by sharing lessons learned in communicating clearly within and across languages and cultures in a respectful and equitable way.
