The Pre-conference Workshop in Chiangmai paves way for the 12AHLA

 
Chiang Mai, Thailand, 19 June 2026. Key leaders of the Asian Health Literacy Association (AHLA) gathered at Chiang Mai University for a pre-conference workshop to advance preparations for the upcoming 12th AHLA International Conference.


The workshop was attended by AHLA President Assoc. Prof. Tuyen, Honorary President Prof. Chang
, and Dr. James Li, who met with local partners to discuss conference planning, collaboration, and strategic coordination.

The AHLA delegation received strong support from Dr. Wachira, along with representatives from the Thailand Health Literacy Association, the Department of Health, and Chiang Mai University.


The meeting provided an important platform for reviewing progress, strengthening partnerships, and aligning organizational efforts to ensure the success of the 12th AHLA Conference. Participants expressed confidence that preparations are advancing smoothly and according to schedule.
 

With strong institutional collaboration and continued commitment from all stakeholders, planning for the 12th AHLA Conference is progressing well, setting the stage for another impactful gathering of health literacy researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and advocates from across Asia and beyond.
