A. Roles and Responsibilities of AHLA Election Committee 
The Election Committee shall plan, manage, and oversee the conduct of the 2026 AHLA elections to ensure a fair, transparent, and orderly process.
Specifically, the Committee shall:

1. Formulate the Nomination and Election Guidelines
   Develop and finalize the rules, procedures, timelines, and eligibility criteria governing the nomination and election process.
2. Disseminate the Call for Nominations and Election Guidelines
   Announce the opening of nominations and circulate the approved guidelines to all eligible members through appropriate communication channels.
3. Correspond with Nominees
   Communicate with nominated individuals to confirm their acceptance or decline of the nomination within the prescribed period.
4. Organize the Meeting with Nominees
   Arrange and facilitate the meeting with confirmed candidates for the presentation of their vision and plans, including the question-and-answer session.
5. Canvass the Votes
   Supervise and conduct the official counting and verification of votes in accordance with the approved procedures.
6. Resolve Ties

7. Approve the Election Results
   Review, validate, and formally approve the final election results.
8. Disseminate the Election Results
   Officially announce and circulate the results to the membership through appropriate communication platforms

Who can be nominated?
Member of an Active institutional member of AHLA The nominator will indicate nominee accepts the nomination.
Who can vote?
Representative of an Active institutional member of AHLA One (1) vote per institutional member 1 ballot for President  3 ballots for Vice Presidents
In case of a tie, Election Committee will make the final  decision
