Scientific Awards at the 8thAHLA International Conference 
More than 200 scientific abstracts were received and presented at the 8th AHLA International Conference, on 27-29 October 2022, in Chang Hua, Taiwan. After extensive review and evaluation, the Award Committee decided to grant awards to three best oral presentations, one best pitching presentation, and three best poster presentations to those with the best quality in content and presentations. 
The Best Oral Presentation Award
  1. Hsinyi Hsiao, Social Work Department, Tzu Chi University, Taiwan, with presentation titled “An Intergenerational Program Using Design Thinking Approach to Improve Intergenerational Relationship and Well-Being for Young and Old Generations: A Mixed-Methods Study”;
  2. Carmel Bouclaous, the Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine, Lebanese American University, Lebanon, with “Functional cervical cancer literacy among Lebanese women: A possible source of protection”;
  3. Thatsana Ritthikul , Intercountry Center for Oral Health, Department of Health, Ministry of Public Health, Thailand, with “The social stories' handbook to enhance health literacy among autistic children before receiving dental care services”.  
The Best Pitching Research Award
Adwoa Owusuaa Koduah , Center for Gerontological Nursing, School of Nursing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, with “Help-seeking behaviour: Dementia literacy alone may not be enough”.

The Best Poster Presentations Award
  1. Chi-Chieh Chen , Tainan Municipal Hospital, Show Chwan Health Care System, Taiwan, with “Using health failure mode and effect analysis to improve the safety of electricity in wards”;
  2. Chanya Anukhro , Health Promotion Center Region1 Chiang Mai, Department of Health, Thailand, with “Prevalence of health literacy of Thai people aged over 15 years in Health region”;
  3. Nurjanah , Department of Public Health, Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Dian Nuswantoro, Semarang, Indonesia, with “The media literacy intervention to reduce intention to smoke in preadolescent”.
