Announcements: Nomination for the 2018 Yufong International Health Literacy Awards (YIHLA2018)
 
Purpose of the awards 
The awards are to recognize those who have contributed significantly in researches, education, and practices in health literacy internationally, and with at least one published scientific manuscript accepted for publication in one of the online reviewer-based journals in year 2017-2018. 
 
The awards are named after the past Madame Yufong Hsu (1927 ~ 2016, Taiwan), who had supported health literacy in her life and between her friends and families ceaselessly and contributed to the establishment of the Asian Health Literacy Association from the beginning. 
 
Each year, one award recipient will be honored with 1000 USD for one individual or institution who will participate in the AHLA Conference from Asia, and one individual or institution with 500 USD from elsewhere. Both will be accompanied with one award certificate. 
 
Nominations and deadline
The application can be by self-nomination or nominated, by an email to Prof. Peter Chang (peter.chang3@gmail.com), one of the founders of the AHLA, before 20 September, 2018, with at least one manuscript as described in the above, a short biography, and a personal photo in electronic file. The application will be reviewed by an international advisory committee and be announced in the 6thAHLA Conference.
